i got soul, but i'm not a soldier

Hi, y'all.

I'm leaving for the airport in a few hours to spend a few days with my family and give a paper at this conference, and I wasn't going to post until I got back. However, I have stumbled upon something AMAZING.

That got your attention, right??

Okay, "stumbled upon" is really not the correct phrase, because I've been searching like a mad woman. Let me explain:
screen_queen, ace photo sleuth that she is, found a set of thumbnails from a BREATHTAKINGLY GORGEOUS Helen photo shoot, and since she showed them to me, we've both been looking for larger versions of the photos. I especially freaked out because they're from the shoot that produced my favorite shot in In the Frame (p. 263, for anyone playing along at home), and I knew I HAD TO HAVE these photos. I thought I was being smart when I checked the photo credits in HFM's book and got the photographer's name, and yet not so, because Helen's crafty minions *misspelled* his name, thus thwarting me -- at least for a few days ;)

That's a lot of info, but I really want you all to share my extreme joyousness over these photos, especially since they're NOT big and gorgeous, but they're a hell of a lot better than thumbnails! And oh, I REALLY want Photoshop back, because I think most of these watermarks wouldn't be *all* that hard to remove ::knocks wood::.

GLAMOUR PHOTOSHOOT, 2007

Okay, so... wow, right? But wait, dear children.

I'll wait while you pick yourselves up off the floor. If you're not on the floor, you probably don't belong here ;)

NEW RANKIN SHOOT
(For Oxfam, I assume, since it says "for syndication"...?)

NOW do you understand why my mind was blown when I found these last night? I just HAD to share before I went away; I couldn't possibly sit on this for a week, and I doubt my family will be terribly enthusiastic (although they do put up with my Helen-ing).

Thanks, as always, for playing. This is no fun by myself!
Peace, love, & Helen,
Taye
