Writing Update - Baseline for 2018
Welcome to 2018!
I didn't do much during the year but there was a sudden and welcome resurgence of effort in December. I will try my best to continue writing through 2018 and not let myself get distracted by other interests.
PPP: 1200 words, spread out over a few chapters/stories.
PU1: 765 (but I took out 2100 so no net gain)
PU3: 2020 (still a long, long way to go)
PU shorts: 566
This is the state of affairs today:
If you have any recollection of my last spreadsheet you will note that the list has been pruned drastically. I moved several works to the "abandoned" folder because the chance of any of them being finished is minuscule. All hope is not abandoned, however -- PPP made it back into "active" after having been ignored for ten years, so anything is possible.
My priority work for the first part of the year is to finish Chapter Four of Therewith Instantly and get that posted to AO3. Then I'll probably split my time between Despite Reason (the second part of the Cas-Dean story) and PPP, for which I am re-reading Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales and LOTR again.
Other fandom involvement has been limited to reading fanfic, mainly because I'm trying not to contribute anything to the USA's economy while that idiot is in power. It was quite disconcerting to find out how many of my favourite foods are now owned by American companies, but I'm trying to make do with local products which is probably better for the planet anyway.
