30 Weeks of Fanfic - Week 29
Week 29: Do you have a favourite fic you've written? What makes it your favourite? And don't forget to give us a link!
Usually my favourite fic is the one I've just started, while inspiration is bubbling up and the words are pouring out of me. By the time it gets to the last quarter of the fic I usually hate it.
If I had to pick a favourite from finished works, I'd probably choose my Pirates of the Caribbean fic Revenge, Remorse and Redemption-it suits my writing style, and I wrote the majority of it while I was away on a work trip so it was pretty fast. I also enjoyed the opportunity to come up with backstories for Beckett and Norrington that would explain their actions and yet be consistent with Dead Man's Chest. Sadly, it was all jossed quite thoroughly by At World's End, but I still like the story as a "fork in the road" AU.
