1 Year, 3 months, 2 weeks, and 6 days
That is how long ago it was when Adriyan and Kaylinn were taken away from us. It was Wes' birthday and it was supposed to be a happy day. We've been fighting to get our children back for 1 year, 3 months, 2 weeks, and 6 days. And today it was made official.
Our babies are home!
I seriously can't believe it! In many ways I'm almost afraid to believe it. We've been fighting for so long. Jumping through hoop after hoop after flaming hoop, and now the end is in sight. They're home now. They're home for good. We don't have to take them back to Vivian's ever again. We don't ever have to say goodbye to them and go home to an almost empty house, close the door to their empty room, and try to console ourselves of our empty hearts and empty arms.
The emptiness is filled once again. The silence has been vanquished (hoo, boy has it been vanquished LoL). Our babies are home now. Right where they belong.
Now it's only 6 months from tonight until we are quit of the system for good and out from under DHS' foot.
