Croatian/Irish?
Last night we had a birthday party for one of my friends at a Croatian restaurant in Astoria. My friend is Croatian-American, and so obviously I know her from Irish dancing. There were a mix of friends and co-workers there, and two of our mutual friends had come from a band party elsewhere and had brought their instruments in with them, as unlike my $10 whistle, they were not safe to be left in the car.
After much yummy food - we had samples of almost everything on the menu - and six bottles of wine, we were the only group left in the place aside from the wait staff.
Next thing we know, the concertina is out, then the fiddle. Then I went to the car for my whistle, and for a half hour we turned the Croatian restaurant into an impromptu Irish session. Even had a dancer :)
Good times. I'm beginning to think tho, that all this music is responsible for all the rain...
