BCN, Gaudi and Sangria
So I am sitting at the computer in my hostel with half an hour to go until we check out. It has been an amazing trip; so what I needed. I really had a wonderful time, I absorbed myself in the architecture and character of the city during the day and drank sangria and acted like a mad person at night, which is the way to do holidays if you ask me. This has very much given me the travel bug and I am hoping that I will be taking more trips again soon.
I love Gaudi, his buildings are such a brilliant combination of architecture and art, so curvy, sensual. The pictures I have don´t really do his work justice because you need to touch it, see the way the counterplay between smooth and rugged, vividness and subtlety, emense expance and minute detail play together. Photographing Gaudi is wonderful but doesn´t express it somehow.
Sangria is cheap and wonderful. I am not a huge drinker but I drink well and I met some really great people. I love to see how my perspective changes and to get the perspective of others on things; alcohol helps.
