I don't know if I'd blogged this in Dreamwidth, but I know I've blogged about in in LJ, and this cross posts, so here goes...
Remember the wife bashing paedophile music teacher?
The Department of Education has finished its investigation, and it is confirmed. He will be sacked.
Secondly, when the band was in Switzerland, the same idiot (who plays tuba/souzaphone) slapped Santine, the female souza player. This time, the dick did it in front of the band manager, and everyone else.
Ian tells me he got back onto the bus to see Donohue (a cop) holding Santine back - she was ready to kill him - and Santine was shouting "You never hit a woman, you fucking spineless dick!"
The dick, meanwhile, was sitting at the back of the bus, looking like the cat that got the cream, and laughing.
His new g/f saw it all, too - yanno, the now 18 year old, that he's been seeing for 4 years.
So, it now turns out that the band manager can no longer turn a blind eye, and Ian has filled in many of the other band members on exactly why the ex wife always had grazes, bruises, broken bones...
The Commissioner is now going to have to step in.
My (not so expert) opinion is that both he and the band manager (who apparently knew the whole story, but still sided wth The Dick) should both be sacked. Immediately, if sooner cannot be arranged.
Wife bashing is not acceptable. Slapping a fellow band member when on a publicity tour is not acceptable. Covering for the wife basher is no less acceptable.
(oh, and just so we know,m this is the same manager who pointed out that it was a "divrse band" with "gays, blacks, and asians, women and men", and that inappropriate actions to or from and minority will not be tolerated, and then the next sentence said "so if {insert gay band members name here} does anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, you need to tell us". Now, there's someone who should be sacked immediately)
