Five Things Make a Post-Drabblecast Edition
Hello everyone:)
I find myself in a very strange place at the moment. Lots of opportunities, lots of change. Not sure how I feel about a lot of things at the moment but, after the spectacular bottoming out of last year, I am at least prepared to entertain the possibility that I might have potential. Anyway, before this turns into a spectacularly long self indulgent State of the Al post (Which may yet happen), here's some stuff:
1-Life, the Damian Lewis 'Ex con turned Buddhist homicide cop fights crime!' series is massive fun.
2-I'm currently slightly obsessed with 'Here We Go' by Jon Brion from the Punch Drunk Love score. Assuming I've done this right, it's here:
3-I'm also really fond of 'One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces' by Ben Folds Five at the moment, used to AWESOME effect here:
4-I haven't been to the cinema in AGES which means there's now a ton of stuff (Solomon Kane, Shutter Island, The Lovely Bones, The Crazies) that I want to see. Should be seeing The Lovely Bones this week:)
5-I have sold a story! The oddest thing I ever wrote in fact, The Existential Lizard, which was on my flash fiction feed ages ago. It's currently up here, at the superb Drabblecast:
