Title: Confirmation

His pulse beats in his ears as he watches Urban dance on stage, moving to the music of flute and drum. He wants to get up and dance, but he forces himself to stay in his place, eyes riveted to the man before him. The melos around Urban’s waist flies with the speed of Urban’s movement, red-brown and black, lined in gold floating in the air. Blue eyes meet dark brown, and there is no question in anyone’s mind as to who Urban is dancing this harja for.
The song continues, and Urban moves to the edge of the stage, eventually shifting down to the floor - effortlessly. He continues to dance forward, removing the melos and wrapping it around Marus’ shoulders.
Sounds fade as the raven is captured by sapphire blue eyes, this time and space frozen for them. Someone takes the melos from Urban and wraps it tighter, bringing them closer, but Marus doesn’t notice because Urban’s lips are on his, their fingers intertwined, bodies oh so close together.
Marus smiles, and time resumes flowing. The music has ended, and the audience is laughing and smiling at the two. As Urban untangles them from the melos, Marus leans over to give him a gentle kiss on the cheek.
It’s been twenty years since Oliza left them, twenty years since they found each other. The dances are old, the words already said, but they do it again, repeat themselves, and relive the past, if only for a confirmation of their love.

Lelouch is Britannian, but he’s always been keen on learning just about anything. One of his favorite things was the idea of the world being composed of four basic elements: Fire, Earth, Water, and Air.
When he looks at Nanally, he sees Water in a pure form. Nanally is emotional and kind, but strong in her own way, affecting those around her in small but consistent ways. (In another world, she shows a side of Fire, reading the lines of the future and passionately moving along them, taking those that she sees are for the best, but Lelouch will never know this.)
Lelouch himself is Air, flowing above and around, but Earth, steady and solid. He is steadfast in what he wants, but is flexible enough to adjust to situations, while still being able to achieve his own means. Lelouch is a mix of contradictions, and finds that he cannot understand how others think due to this fundamental difference.
When Lelouch moves to Japan and he and Nanally meet Suzaku, Lelouch first experiences the other boy’s Fire as they disagree and continually get into fights. But later, when Nanally is missing and Suzaku is the first to find her, Lelouch witnesses Suzaku’s Water side, watching the emotions pass over the young Japanese boy’s face.
As they lay on the warm ground, listening to the cricket chirps that are carried on the summer breeze, roasting in the Japanese summer sun, Lelouch realizes that this is a place of balance. Together, they have enough of each of the elements, Fire, Earth, Water, and Air, to bring harmony to themselves and to others.

Title: Desertion
Fandom: Gundam SEED

Deserting was something that he never thought he would do. Dearka was too lazy to be on the run from Zaft for the rest of his life - not to mention that his father would actually disown him, rather than just maintain the rather large distance that he did now, and would probably put out a substantial sum on his head for any bounty hunters looking to make some extra money.
But now, now there was probably a decent sized bounty on his head, and his dad was probably filing for disownment as Dearka raced back towards the Archangel, knowing that he could never live with himself if he left now.
Maybe he could help, maybe he could begin to repay the debt that he owed to Miriallia…
…and maybe she’d look at him and see him as a person, not as a Coordinator.
Well, maybe not, but he’d take what he could get.

She looks up as the door opens, nodding to the brown haired man who has just walked in the door, and smiles as he heads to the elevator. Suzaku Kururugi is the man’s name, and Kerri knows that she’d love to go flirt with him - if there was any point to it.
Jenni gets out of the elevator with a pile of laundry and holds the door open for Suzaku, who thanks her. When the elevator doors have closed, Jenni smiles at Kerri, and asks, “So, Suzu’s back again?”
Kerri nods. “Lulu must be out of inspiration again. He probably isn’t even aware of it yet.”
The two share a laugh, and go on about their business, knowing that they will only be laughing again in the morning, when they catch Suzaku and Lelouch leaving together, both looking unusually orderly and quite content.

“I had someone that I once cared about.” The older man paused, then added, “Maybe.”
The younger boy looked up at the stranger who had found him the other day, and tilted his head. “What brought this on?”
The man smirked. “You have a look about you. There’s someone who matters to you, and you’re considering telling him, but there’s a catch to it.” The boy froze, but the man just leaned closer and smiled. “Am I right?”
The boy huffed and looked back down at his papers. “Perhaps.”
The man chuckled. “I don’t think you should. You should let him come to you, let him figure it out. It makes it more interesting. You have to be ready for it, and then you act!” The man chuckled to himself, then leaned on his closed fist. “Or maybe not. Maybe it’s better to let them know… and hope they come to you. Soon.”
Lelouch nodded, continuing to work on his homework.
The next day, the man would leave, headed on to the next world.
Three days after that, a man named Fuuma would come through looking for his brother, and would confuse Suzaku greatly, but make him think, regardless.
A week later, Zero would congratulate Euphemia li Britannia on the creation of Japan, and would join her and her knight in front of hundreds of people.
That night, Lelouch would reveal himself to two of his closest friends, and they would accept him.
Five days later, Lelouch would not sleep alone.

“The one who really killed Clovis was I!”
For some reason, Suzaku just couldn’t get the words out of his head. And he couldn’t stop wondering why it felt so familiar for Zero to rescue him.
He contemplated this for a long time, and eventually came to the only possible conclusion.
“I don’t want to believe it. That was why I always denied it.”
“…because I believed in you.”
