1. Lily's mother was Doctor April Knight, a world famous archaeologist and scientist formerly in the employ of the Torchwood Institute and, for most of April's childhood, in the employ of UNIT. She was a close associate of the Doctor's.

2. Lily's first encounter with the Doctor was with the First Doctor, her second twelve years later with Twelve.

3. Lily's flatmates are called Emma and Kelly - Emma studied Biomedicine while Kelly studied Nursing and Midwifery.

4. Lily studied Psychology up until her recent graduation.

5. Lily acknowledges, from a scientific standpoint, that Twelve is good-looking in a gawky way, but she finds the idea of actually being attracted to him completely hilarious.

6. Lily's father was also a scientist. He amicably divorced from April Knight when Lily was eight - she spent the Easter holidays and a moderate portion of the summer with him when she was a child, and he would visit during Christmas.

7. Lily wasn't invited onto the TARDIS. She showed up there with two carry-alls of luggage and demanded to go with the Doctor on the basis of both a debt to her mother and a suspicion that he wouldn't be able to manage without a companion.

8. She was right.
