Wow, when I post a layout, sometime between when I posted it and when you commented, livejournal changed their customization interface. That is... wow. Great. No wonder you were having so much trouble! Anyway, to set up the layout the way it looks now:

Go to the Customize area, and make sure you have S2 enabled if you don't already.



Now click on the "Custom Options" tab, then click "Custom CSS".



Then enter the stylesheet URL in the "External stylesheet URL" box, save, and you're done! :)

Same thing I said to initstime - find this part of the code:

And change padding-left: 6px; to padding-left: 18px;, save, and reupload.

And here I thought I had a mostly bugless layout... sorry about this!
