your computer has nothing to do with it; I'm on a Mac, too.

on Geocities, go to Create & Update > File Manager > Easy Upload.
choose your file [which you should name stylesheet.css in Text Edit] and click upload.
when it's uploaded, you'll see this message:

Upload results
stylesheet.css
- Uploaded successfully

and you're done.

I did exactly that and i kept getting this message:
Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “http://geocities.yahoo.com/filemanager/upload”. The error was: “POSIX error: Is a directory” (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:21) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.

...do you have suggestions?

it's possible that you're viewing the error page Safari stored in it's cache the first time you did it.
I'd say you should empty your cache, clear your history, and quit Safari for a minute. It might help.

Open Safari back up and try to upload the file again. If you still get the error, lemme know.
I don't use my Geocities account. I could upload it there for you and you can just hotlink it from me.

also, that error message seems to be telling you that you're trying to upload a directory
that already exists on your geocities site rather than just a simple stylesheet.css file. :\

I'm not sure what you're doing wrong, but my offer in the first reply still stands. :)

I just created a geocities account for you and uploaded everything already. That's easier.
what's your email address and I'll send you all the info?
