After Google coudn't help me....

So I tried to search for answers online but couldn't seem to find what I am looking for... so I thought maybe some of you might be able to help.

Last night I was taking the garbage out at Smitty's through the back door. It is one of those big industrial sized doors (I've had issues with them before, if any of you can remember). The bin for the garbage is right next to the door and if you go all the way out and let it slam shut it locks so usually I swing it open really hard and toss the stuff in before it closes. Yesterday that garbage I was carrying was heavier than normal... like at least 20-30 pounds so I really needed to be fast about it. But when I swung the door open one of the kitchen guys was standing there smoking. I didn't want to hit him so I pulled it back fast, am the same time trying to get the garbage in the bin before it closed. I can't really explain this well... but as I turned and hoisted it in the 50 pound metal door then slammed into my back.

I actually think I was in pain shock because I remember walking back out into the front house... talking to some costumers and then standing at the computer and thinking... my back REALLY hurts and I can't think of what I did to it. I literally did not remember.

Anyway, I had my friend Lennon look at it when things quieted down a little and she said there was a little scratch, but otherwise nothing. Nick checked it out when I got home and nothing. Today it is a little swollen, but still no bruising.

I'm finding repetitive motions really painful though now, like buttering toast and cutting it at work and putting my body weight on my hand (when I slide in and out of the booths to clean them) is painful as well.

I really expected bruising though.

Anyway, I was searching online to try and figure out why I'm not bruised, what to expect further with the pain and what I can do to treat it. For the most part I am just taking Advil. But yah, even hugging hurts :(

I thought maybe one of you would know.
