Being in Burlington really makes me want to avoid studying at all costs... which is odd considering I don't leave the house.. and my computer isn't here.
Anyway, in just over 10 days I will be moving home for the first time in 4 years. I will be moving into the room my older brother vacated 3 years ago... and since my Mom has used as the hidden room of pack rat hell.
I told her I'd be living in there... months ago... and yet still she has done nothing to sort through her things. These things include boxes to be saved for gift wrapping, old statues and things from our living room that she doesn't use but won't throw away... and many items that belonged to my grandfather while are apparently all sentimental.
I have accepted my Mom's horderness a long time ago. I'm just worried that I am going to move here on the 30th and the room will still be full of her stuff. How can I unpack in a room I can barely walk through? Or hang clothes in a closet which is currently full of my Mom's clothes?
But the big frustration is... how does one nag their own mother?
