No. 5 in the chart of 'Things Not to Say'...
.... so I'm at my desk and I overhear a conversation from the girl behind me saying that she's planning on buying a couple of books today. The second one (the one I hear) is a book on learning to drive. Knowing that her test is in a few days I say (obviously in jest):
"Shouldn't you have bought that a few weeks ago?"
Shocked silence from the gossip corner. Turns out the OTHER book was on dieting.
(Removes frying pan from upside of head)
I hope we've learned something today.
