aidan got this movie as a "might be amazing, might be crap" from the video shop and i just watched it, only half paying attention at first but i got sucked in pretty quickly. it's fantastic in a very understated way and you all should see it. imelda staunton is fantastic as the polar opposite of dolores umbridge. there's a good review here which tells you everything i'm too inarticulate to. spoilers obviously, but it's a film where you can see where it's going from the start - the brilliant bit is watching them go there.
