the guys in cars with loudspeakers are really starting to do my head in. if people haven't already decided to VOTE SHAHID IQBAL VOTE CONSERVATIVE then they're not going to in the next two hours. STFU thanks.

went and voted. was pretty empty. i hope 11am is just a quiet time and that's not representative of turnout in general.

still ill. i have a chest infection. not lying this is the most ill i've ever been in my life. i'm pretty lucky, i guess. but i spent an entire week being out of breath just sitting on the sofa. most of that week was at home; i called my mum in tears at 5.30 in the morning and begged her to come and fetch me. was a good move - not being able to catch your breath is much less scary when your mum is calmly sat next to you ignoring it. anyways, i came back to bradford on sunday, tired but feeling much better. tried to go back to placement on tuesday and was promptly sent home again - just going up to the hospital had tired me out completely. went to the GP yesterday and got a sick note and a second round of antibiotics. yay.

being off this week as well is really scaring me. it means i'm missing two weeks of my 6-week obs&gynae placement, so i will almost certainly have to make up this time in the week after, which is revision week. so i won't get a revision week. i've been trying to revise now to make up for it and my brain is just cotton wool (i really am too ill to go on placement, blah). so... exams (in mid-june) are a v v daunting prospect at the moment.

it's kind of daft how ridiculously excited i am for channel 4's alternative election night. charlie brooker <3
