*sigh of relief*

It is Friday.  The weekend and my beach escape is only a few hours away!  I can't wait.  I think I'm definately more excited than indifferent.  *LOL*

I got up a bit earlier and managed to get everything else together, the cats needs met and everything packed up and ready to go by 7:30 which put me to work around 8:30.  I plan on leaving at 4:30.  I hope the traffic from Landover won't be that bad going to the Bay Bridge.  *fingers crossed*   According to Rand McNally the drive should take 2 1/2 hours.  Not too painfully bad; esp. if I don't hit a lot of traffic.  I hope to be there no later than 8 p.m.  *double crosses fingers*

I wasn't able to really get a bunch of traveling music together but I did get my iPod all set up for the beach time.  I think I'm going to try to listen to some of the zencasts I have and commune with nature.

Not only have I been uber productive and I'm just now killing time; but today was payday and I got my July rent in the mail.  It is nice to have that taken care of still be able to go away even if it is for only a day.

I'm really hoping I will be back at a decent hour and not feel exhausted since I need to try to stop by ES for farewell celebrations.  I better make sure to put the sunscreen on thick.  I don't want to be feeling icky from sunburn.

Speaking of burn...

My shoulders just below my neck are burning.  That is all the discomfort/pain I'm having from the accident.  I'm a bit concerned but I'm trying not to worry and freak out too hard.  It doesn't seem to burn as much when I'm not doing computer work.  In other words, using the computer seems to aggrevate the injured muscles.  Thankfully it isn't like the pain I was having before/around my birthday.

So, I'm ready to go!  Come on 4:30!

Edit...

Oh yeah, I had the strangest dream last night.  That I saw a plane crash.  Like relatively up close and personal.  It was a strange dream as it has aspects of other dreams I have had in the past of places, situations and people that were real life senerios but not real in "this" life.  And the plane (despite being a larger commerical plane) didn't "blow up".  Just damn strange.

es, strange dreams, ocean, weekend, work, accident injuries
