White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel Apologizes for Calling Liberal Activists "Retarded"
I really can't criticize Rahm for using language I might use while in the heat of a fight, but then again, he is in politics, and I am not. However, here's the portion of the story that really freaks me out:A White House official confirms that Emanuel made the remark and reports that Emanuel called Tim Shriver last week when the Journal story first appeared to apologize to the disabled community and the apology was accepted.
Does the "disabled community" have their own spokesperson, or did he apologize to every disabled person in the country. If it was the latter, then I am impressed that he got each person to accept his apology. I had no idea Rahm had that much time on his hands...
