I keep having these disturbingly realistic and freakin scary dreams. In one, I'm in bed about to fall asleep and I see a glowing light on the other side of my door and then the door slowly opens revealing a dark shadow of a man with the bright light shining from behind him so I couldn't tell who he was, but I could tell he had a gun in his hand. He walks up to my bed and puts the cold barrel of the gun to my head and says something I can't understand and I want to say "NO! DON'T" but nothing comes out of my mouth, and then of course I wake up from the dream and stare at my door for a while totally freaked out.
In another one, I wake up, get out of bed, walk out to the balcony outside of my room (which is on the 3rd floor) and I climb up on the railing and stand there for a while and I'm wearing some flowy nightgown that flutters in the wind, and then I jump and fall and fall and fall and then just as I get really close to the ground, I wake up.
I'm not liking these dreams so much, and they are NOT helping the insomnia AT ALL. How would you like to sleep knowing some other dream like that could pop into your head at any moment? And of course as I try to fall asleep I stare at the door thinking someone with a gun is going to come in any second. I'm beginning to think a lack of sleep makes the fine line between sleep and awake even more fine.
