You may have heard the news by now: Brian Jacques, author of the Redwall novels, died of a heart attack on February 5th at the age of 71. I was lucky in getting to attend readings by Mr. Jacques three times -- all as a college student and an adult. He **did** seem to have had the most magnificent, adventurous life! Talk about living fully! And he was such an excellent reader and such a warm speaker! I only saw him once, but it really made an impression.
