Bravo's West Wing marathon rocks my socks. However, they have misled the public. They say that it is a whole week of "The West Wing" when that is not actually the case. I woke up early this morning because the cleaning lady was here and went to watch some TV. I turned it onto Bravo and lo and behold, it is not "The West Wing" but a promotion for "Body by Jake" followed by some sort of special ladder being promoted by Al from "Home Improvement". Hmph. It is quite sad that I actually know that they do not play "The West Wing" 24 hours a day. But I did borrow books from the library which has alleviated my boredom immensely. I borrowed a book on the history of chocolate which is very entertaining. I also went grocery shopping and real shopping with Katie.
The real fun of the week, however, was actually a baseball game. Believe it or not, Alana attended a Houston Astros game. It was the Astros vs. Arizona Diamondbacks and we won and it was very fun. I didn't want to go because I had never even seen a baseball game. Ever. Not even on TV. Just clips. The only rules I knew about it were the rules that it has in common with kickball. Nevertheless, Katie convinced me to go with her and so I did. We had super seats, ate hotdogs and ice cream, and watched the game. It was exciting and super fun. But as I was watching the game I realized that rugby is way more intense. Not to take away from baseball, but I bet any of our A-side players could totally take on a baseball player. We would ruck them before they even knew what hit them. Laura could definitley take out a baseball player. Plus, we're hotter. And I bet we could outdrink them, too. Okay, time for me to take a shower. I smell really bad. And I know all of y'all needed to know that. Then I'm going to read "Chocolate: The Dark and Light of It" and eat some chocolate. Things are definitely looking up though I am still poor. But the MFAH and the Contemporary Art Museum are free tomorrow...hmmmm. Alana may actually have a life!
