Been a long time
I have totally fell out of the LJ habit, again. Things are going well. After a really rough month at work it settled down to manageable stress last week. Our recruitment numbers have been really low and instead of seeing it like everyone else does, that our enrollment criteria are very strict, I see it as a personal failure on my part. I let it blow a bit out of proportion (big surprise there) to the point that I was seeing the whole study as a failure and a waste of hundreds of thousands of dollars all because I am not working hard enough. Sometimes I am a dumbass. I now have this picture up at my desk.
CJ from 'The West Wing' is one of those characters that handle things like I would like to. I also bought a desktop water fountain and a diffuser for a calming essential oil mix. The big adjustment is in my brain I know. I am not solely responsible for every bad thing that happens. :)
Holidays have been minimally stressful. This weekend was in Rockford with the in laws. Next weekend is my graduation, my Dad and Maggie Mom are coming. My birth mother is not. She didn't ask for the day off. But on that front our new bylaws have ensured over a 1/2 dozen good phone contacts since August. That is a record! So I am not going to get too bent out of shape about graduation, it is what it is.
Then up to Dad's for the 25th and 26th.
The wood stove has been WONDERFUL! :) The kitties all just love it. I started a new shawl and have been blowing through some new mystery books like there is no tomorrow.
Hmmm, best get back to work I guess.
