RL update
Yesterday I managed to get up at 7:30am, despite being on a high the night before cos of the Hard-Fi gig and not going to bed too soon. The early rising was in aid of tagging along to Liverpool with mum and Adrian as Adrian had to go there for work purposes. So after getting to wear a vistor badge in the building where Adrian's boss's office is, mum and I headed into Liverpool city centre to do some shopping as neither of us had been shopping there before.
First thng we did was get lunch in the 'Soul cafe' as we were both starving having skipped breakfast. I had scampi and chips and it was basically average type pub food, so not too bad. We stumbled across Forbidden Planet shortly after lunch. I knew Liverpool had one but I had no idea where to find it, so it was pretty lucky really. I didn't buy anything as no matter how much I oggled over the Cloud and Fenrir figure it didn't make it affordable in the slightest *pout* Mum bought Adrian a darlek tie, which I totally agreed with, heh. Then we went to Virgin and I bought Hard-Fi - In Operation. Need to watch it!! XD Also went in Waterstones and I bought a 'Liverpool recommends...' book. 'In the Miso Soup' by Ryu Murakami. It's a dark thriller apparently, which will probably scare me but meh...it's Japanese fiction and it has a cool cover XD We looked round a few more shops and then went back to the office building.
We eventually left the office and drove back to Manchester. We then decided we wanted to do more shopping and went to the Trafford Centre XD Shopping at the Trafford Centre between 5pm and 9pm is definitely way better than during the day cos there were infinitely less people. I bought some orange short trousers from Next, which are teh awesome! Orange is definitely my colour this summer! Muwahaha. Adrian got shirts and ties and mum bought a Radley weekend bag (she has a Radley bag obsession XD). We also had dinner at a restaurant in the upper part of the food hall (I think it was in the New Orleans bit). Yummy bbq chicken pizza! Then we headed back to the house and I spent the evening finishing White Teeth off in time for my exam, which was the following morning.
This morning I got up at 7:30am again. This time for a more serious reason; my second English exam. I was totally knackered and didn't eat anything so the exam was probably crap, but I did answer both questions, writing the same amount for each as I usually do, so we shall see. After the exam I met up with mum and we went to Umami (a noodle bar across the road from uni that I've been meaning to go to since September ^^; ). I had Chicken Yakitori, followed by Hoi Sin Udon Duck (noodles with duck pieces, lol). It was very yummy! Then we went back to the house and I started reading the book I bought yesterday. It's not scary yet, very funny though, lol.
Anyways, it's getting on and I haveta leave for Kickboxing in half an hour, so I am going to watch a bit of my Hard-Fi dvd before I go, hehe.
