Fangirling a-plenty
Okies, Tuesday...I didn't have my seminar cos there was a strike on, not that I would have made it anyways cos I slept in until midday XDD When I eventually got up I had a shower and some breakfast and then I went out to do some shopping. I bought another cd (>.>) Panic! at the Disco - A fever you can't sweat out. Love it! I tried again to buy some black trousers but coudn't find any I liked. Then I went and bought some food stuffs from Tesco and lugged two heavy bags back to my flat. Was on the internet a fair bit after that, also ate some dinner some time. Then at 10 past nine I decided to finally watch Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children all the way through. This is where I cut for spoilers even though anyone that cares has probably seen it anyways XD
So yeah, as I mentioned, I finally watched AC. I have had the fansub of it basically since it came out but never got round to watching it before. I didn't get past the first boss when playing the game (FF games are not easy for me and I lose patience fast :/). So naturally I didn't have this big need to watch AC. I got nagged at to watch it by several people many times but kept putting it off. Then last night I finally decided I would watch it (this was after I realised how many of my fav seiyuu were in it XD). So yeah, that's my story of how I came to finally watch it, hehe.
As for what I actually thought of it. My first thought was how visually stunning it was. Such perfect CGI animation. The bish guys were extremely bishie and just the general backgrounds and especially the fights, were extremely well done. The storyline confused me a fair bit but then that is because I didn't actually know anything having not played the game. I did get the general concept though; geostigma illness thing affecting the children and Cloud n Rufus. Kadaj n co wanting the reunion to reserrect their mother but actually bringing Sephiroth back, etc. etc. So yeah, mostly understood.
The characters were all really cool, though a bit more time to give them more depth would have been nice. I know that making films too long isn't good though and I did think this was a nicely timed film; not too long, not too short. My fav character by far was Reno. I just loved his (along with Rude) comic relief. When he stands on Rude's glasses and gets the funniest look from Rude, hilarious!! The thing that got me the most though was the interaction between Reno and Cloud. The mock fight greeting and Cloud locking Reno outside and even kicking the door to shut him up when he started whining. Soooo funny!! Made me think of Heero and Duo, haha. So yeah, am totally loving the idea of Cloud and Reno as a pairing. I've already read some fics. Cleno forever!! XDD

Advent Children Captain Planet parody
Didn't make complete sense to me as far as canon goes but some of it is hellava funny. Especially the bit when the whole gang pumps their fists in the air as it goes 'go planet!!' XDD
As for a quick update about today. I had my Sociology lecture and seminar and then hung around for the options fair for next year's subject choices. Turned out to be a waste of time as all I did was pick up a History booklet. Tch! I was on the 'net for a bit after that at uni and in my room, before going out to meet Carmel and Andrew to get the bus to Parrs Wood for our bowling and eating excursion with Jen, Matt and Chris. We all met up in the bowling place and played two energetic games (I came joint last and second XD). We then went to Chiquitos for some much needed dinner. Was nice but I was almost past the point of hunger by the time we did eat at 10pm. We then got the bus back and I came online.
Tomorrow is my presentation in History and my Kickboxing grading, followed by the social in Front bar, lol. Tis gonna be a busy day! So I shall leave it there.
