Okies, I haven't updated properly in ages and this entry won't be a complete update cos I can't frankly remember stuff from last weekend and before ^^; So I'll start from Tuesday.

I didn't go into uni on Tuesday cos Henry was ill so I volunteered to stay back and look after him as mum had more lectures and seminars and stuff than me that day. I didn't completely waste my time cos I got the citation and beginning few paragraphs written out for my History book review. I also watched the 20th anniversary episode of Neighbours and even the feature after it too. Am such a Neighbours geek! Hahaha. Oh and in the evening I went and finally had my gym induction at The Galleon leisure club. He took my height, weight, body fat percentage, bone and muscle something or other and water content or something, lol. I am completely perfect for my age and height *beams* He says I can just work out in the gym for fun really and I definitely don't need a set sort of program. Wahey!

Wednesday I got the rest of my book review typed up after my Sociology and Society lecture and seminar in the morning. Then in the evening I chatted to Ria on the phone for an hour. We were just generally catching up and stuff. Plus she played music to me over the phone cos we were trying to decide which gig we should go see in Manchester and I hadn't even heard of two of the bands (my bad). So I only had to hear like a few seconds of Hard-Fi - Hard to Beat, before I decided I wanted to go see them. Ria agreed and left it to me to book the tickets (will get back to this later in my entry, lol). Ate dinner at like 10pm and then printed off my book review and put it all in the folder ready to hand in the next day.

I went in slightly earlier on Thursday so that I could hand in my book review at the coursework receiting office. Was anticipating a long queue but there were only about 4 other people there; one of them being Jen. We both handed our work in and then went to the bistro and got cups of tea and flapjacks, to see us through the lecture. Between our lecture and seminar we had a chat to our history tutor about stuff and then went back to the bistro and had jacket potatoes. After the seminar, Jen came back with me and we picked Henry up from his bus, he got changed, and then we caught the bus back into Manchester, where we met mum. Then we went and had sushi in Selfridges cos they do a special 2 quid per dish thing between 5 and 8pm on weekdays. Yummeh as per! Then Jen and I did some shopping in HMV and H&M. I bought Hard-Fi's album (lol!) and two dvds; Mean Girls and Oliver! (the original musical one, cos I love musicals, hehe). Then we went on the big wheel that had been put up in Manchester again. A brand new one this year, which will apparently be there till April, lol. Then we got the bus back and watched Oliver! before going to bed, hehe.

Friday I went into uni for my English lecture and seminar (Jen got to lie in, lucky!). I was sooooooo tired, and by the seminar I was starving cos I hadn't had breakfast. Ran straight to the bistro when we were done and practically inhaled the tuna melt panini I bought, lol. Ceri asked me to go see Corpse Bride at the cinema with her and a few others but I had one of my evil headaches so I had to turn her down :( I caught the bus back and Jen was still there, chatting to mum. She stayed for a bit longer and then we dropped her off at her halls and went straight back. I watched Naruto, bought the Hard-Fi gig tickets (December 6th, Manchester Ritz, woot!) and then dozed for an hour or so while mum and Henry went swimming, cos my head ached stil. Then at about 8pm ish (after Adrian had arrived) we went out to 'The Didsbury' pub and had a nice meal there. We stopped off at Tesco on the way back and I bought Freya North's new novel (love her books!) and some comfort food (very fattening, haha).

So finally, today, we got up and out early and went to Knowsley Safari Park. It was awesome! The only thing I was disappointed with was that the tigers were locked up in a pen (apparently for good reason as they liked to play a game of cat and mouse with the safari jeeps before, haha). The lions were out, roaming free amongst the cars, though, which was soooo cool! The best bit though was undoubtably the monkeys (baboons). There were countless signs telling you that your car would not be safe going through the monkey section. There was also an extra 'car friendly' path if you rather liked the way your car looked. We went right through the middle of them though and it was soooo cool. We went through twice and on the first time we just got a load of them jump on the car and one even left crap on the top of the windscreen (yuck!). On the second time, however, the car got turned into a monkey plaything. They ripped one of the strips of rubber clean off the door and had a very good go at the windscreen wipers; front and back. Adrian didn't mind too much though and it was a very hilarious few minutes.

Here's the best (or funniest) of the photos we took:

The male lion and two of his girls, mehehe

A pride of lions

Lioness' bathtime

Meerkats - what you looking at?

The oriental otters that made the most annoying yet somehow cutest noises ever

Teh monkey that so badly wanted the front windscreen wiper

The monkey that attacked the rubber strip (and showed off its rather pink dangly thing, eww)

Monkey trying to eat the rubber strip

Monkey in the process of pulling rubber strip off the door

Last sighting of the rubber strip before monkey took it away forever XDD

Phew! That's it. So yeah, the safari park was a lot of fun! Would definitely love to go again. After that we drove the rest of the way to Liverpool and went on the ferry cross the mersey, and yes they do play snippets of the song as you go, but not nearly as much as I thought they would, heh. We also walked the full length of the Albert Dock, well very nearly anyways. We went back via the John Lennon airport as mum is a bit of a planespotter freak, haha. Was a bigger airport than I predicted (I thought it'd be the same size as Norwich). We also stopped in the Tesco at Burnage, before returning to the house, where I had some bread and cheese, a hot bath and watched Mean Girls with Henry. Now I'm online, lol.

Apparently we're going to the Lake District tomorrow if the weather is good, so it'll be another early morning but if it's half as fun as today was it'll be worth it. Had such a good time today. Its great to do family stuff sometimes ^__^

Oyasumi! minna-san ^__^

hard-fi, sushi, photos, ferry, monkeys, car-wrecking
