Na na na na na na na na na (etc.)
Wow! So today has been emotionally draining. I mean, seriously, your birthday is meant to be an awesome day, right? Well mine was far from awesome until the evening.
I got to work for just after 7am. Felt like a complete zombie, as usual. Karen doesn't turn up, she's ill, so we have to do the kids delivery, plus her recalls. Oh the joy. Plus it was hugely busy for large parts of the day. Then I had the whole MCR tickets thing looming over me.
So 'cause I was in work, mum was gonna try and get me a ticket. I asked her to ring me on the work number, whatever the outcome. So from 9am I waited anxiously, silently stressing worse every minute. She rang up about 9:40 ish. She hadn't managed to get any. To say I was beyond gutted would be an understatement big time. I was absolutely devastated. I spent the rest of the day at work in the biggest grump you ever could imagine.
By the time I left work, I was feeling so shitty, I was nearly to the point where I was fighting back tears. Then I got on a bus, which was packed out. The bus jounrey then took twice the usual length. All 'cause of the bloody Labour Party Conference making traffic jams (fucking hate politics!). I really was blinking back tears by the end of this craptastic bus ride.
I got in, got changed, and then we left in the car for Norfolk. Another fucking 5 hours sat on my backside, watching traffic go by, and lamenting over my so far shitastic birthday.
But every cloud has it's silver lining, and the silver lining of this story shines so bright it'd blot out the brightest sun.
saint_sorrows alerted me to the fact that never_coming_bk had a spare ticket up for grabs. It was for the London show but I have absolutely no issues with getting the train down south. So I went for it! And got the spare ticket and HOMG! GONNA FINALLY SEE MY CHEM LIVE. I JUST. AHHHH!!! YOU CAN'T MAGIC UP FRIENDS LIKE THESE!! :DDD They gave me the best ever birthday present I could have wished for. Salvaged my ruined day in such a superhero fashion, haha.
So yeah, it all worked out in the end. And now I'm gonna be going down to London town on the 23rd October. I cannot wait! :DDD
In other news...I got a beanie monkey as one of my birthday presents and named him Pepe 'cause he has goalie sized hands and looks sort of Spanish. So now I have Torres the dragon and Pepe the monkey. Need a Daniel, I think. But what sort of animal would he be??
Speaking of Daniel. He's actually in some of this week's training photos! Shocku! Though the shot of Nando's arse is probably the best one, haha.
Got a busy day ahead, so gonna go to bed now. Tomorrow is my real birthday. Today just kind of died a death, I mean, a total of an hour and a half on the bus, 9 hours at work, and 5 hours in the car, didn't leave me much of a birthday really, lol. So I shall be making up for it big time after some sleep!
Oh yeah, and to cheer myself up when I finished my shift at 4pm, I bought the LFC poster magazine. Gonna make an awesome Liverpool shrine in my bedroom. Danny looks adorkable in his poster ♥
