Urgh! The Odeon recruitment day thingy was a complete waste of time. Should have known really ¬_¬
Basically, I went in there, filled out this brief form with my details and hours I could do. Then went upstairs and was in a group of about 10 or so and this woman (not much older than me, I should think) told us we had to audition. Audition?! What a stupid way to put it.
So she demonstrated what we had to do, which was to introduce ourselves, and welcome people to the cinema (which is completely irrelevant, 'cause what cinemas do that these days? *rolls eyes*). Anyways, she started with the person cloest to her and it worked its way round the group. I was near the end and spent the whole time quickly working out what I was gonna say but, of course, I completely fluffed it. I cannot perform well doing stuff put on the spot like that. I felt like I was in a seminar at uni all over again and I did even worse than usual :/
Anyways, needless to say I did not get asked to move on for an interview. Only 3 girls did get asked out of the 10 or so of us. Plus there was already a load of people sat, presumably waiting to be interviewed. So, whatever, it was pretty pointless. But, I suppose, it's an experience and I can work to do better next time, or whatever, lol.
I did, however, get talking with one of my fellow rejectees, and we went off wandering around the shops for a bit, chatting and stuff. He was very confident, and it maybe scared me a little, but I tried not to let it show. We seemed to have a similar sense of humour and he frequents Jillys often, so yeah, lol. Made a friend, haha.
Also, WE BEAT MAN UNITED IN THE LEAGUE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FRIGGIN' YEARS!!! :DDD So yes, that cheered me up immensely too, haha. (sorry Hev :P)
