Taste of Chaos! :D
Aw man it was great! Even if I didn't go in the pit at all, which is very unlike me. I was just feeling pretty ill and tired all day so I figured I'd be better off not going in the pit, plus neither Dorian or Laura wanted to, so yeah.
We got there like just before 7 and so kinda missed the first band ^^; Managed to miss The Blackout's first song too, but the rest of their set was pretty good. The lead singer sort of looks like Madina Lake's lead singer, lol. Gallows were next and well...I'm no great fan of their music, still not really, but Frank Carter is a very considerate bloke cos he stopped a song halfway through cos he spotted two guys proper fist fighting at the back. They made up later on apparently, since Frank mentioned that they did, lol. But yeah, not really a Gallows fan, and they replaced Escape the Fate, who I really wanted to see ;_;
Then it was Aiden. wiL Francis' first words were a thoroughly charming 'Fuck You Manchester!' such a way with words...lol. They were crazy, of course. The guitarists were swinging their guitars all over the place, very impressive! My favourite song they played was 'We Sleep Forever'. Love that song, lol. Then it was Rise Against. They too were good. I only know a few of their songs and out of them they played maybe three, but I totally enjoyed their set. The best was them finishing with 'Prayer of the Refugee'. Well class! Oh yeah and Dorian left during their set cos he had a bad headache *hugs him* I know how that feels so bad :/
Then it was The Used. They were fucking awesome! even if they didn't play 'Wake The Dead' :/ Bert is just soo funny, or at least he thinks he is and I was being charitable, heh. At one point he had us all jumping up and down and then said 'I made popcorn'. Yes, Bert, hilarious! lol. He got people from the front of the pit on stage during 'Paralyzed' and had this mock fight with a girl, was funny. They played a medley of old tunes, which was ace! The crowd really got going for that. Then they finished with 'A Box Full of Sharp Objects', when wil Franics joined Bert on stage (and they smooched! XD). Oh yeah and Laura left two songs from the end cos she was worried about catching her bus, so I moshed on my own for the last two songs, the other one being 'Hospital', I think.
Anyways, it was fucking awesome! Bert is sooo cool XD I bought a Taste of Chaos tour t-shirt afterwards. It's much too big, but nevermind. I wanted a hoodie but they only had large and it would have drowned me even more than this t-shirt, haha. Waaay hyper still but I suppose I should sleep soon really, got 10am lecture in the moro, bah. The Used rock! :D
