Killer car journies
Really didn't do anything constructive today. Only read like one chapter of my book, so now I've got roughly 180 pages to read over the weekend. It's do-able but I've made it harder on myself. It wasn't totally my fault though cos I've had a headache all day, it's only just recently gone.
Adrian and I drove home for the weekend tonight. It should take 4 and a half hours but instead it took 6 hours. This is cos there was a smashed up lorry being manouvered onto a pick-up thingy with a crane and it blocked up the whole road. We had to turn back and use the sat nav to find us an alternative route. We ended up going on the M1 and A14 via places like Derby and Cambridge, instead of going the Chesterfield way, was kind of annoying. Still, I did find out that there's a place in Cambridgeshire called Godmanchester, which had me cracking up rather. I even saved it in my phone so I'd remember to mention it in here. Just amused me, haha.
Anyways we made it back just after 10pm and all is well. My body is aching like a bitch cos of Kickboxing yesterday though. I think sitting upright in a car for 6 hours really didn't help. I really think going the whole summer not doing anything and then getting straight back into Kickboxing was a bad idea. Gotta keep up regular exercise, I really do.
Urgh, anyways, really tired now. My lenses are due out and so they keep fuzzing up on me, so I'm gonna go vanquish them from my eyes, haha. Then sleep beckons, for sure.
