Hard-Fi are owning me again
I love Hard-Fi's new album! Seriously, I listened to it for the first time and I was like 'meh, not as good as Stars of CCTV' but a few more listens later and I am definitely falling in love with it. It's different to the first one, for sure, but that's good. Would be kinda crap if it was a carbon copy, right? Lol.
Anyways, I love the lyrics to 'Can't Get Along (Without You)', makes me want to write a songfic, hah. Also loving 'I Shall Overcome', 'Tonight', and 'Watch Me Fall Apart'. Not to mention all the others. 'The King' actually made me shed a couple of tears, haha. So yes, Hard-Fi rule again!
The only bad thing is their next tour is going to be an arena tour. Noooooo bring back the small venues, please kthx. It's not fair. I'll never get an experience like my first Hard-Fi gig at The Ritz again, bah. Still, no doubt I'll be buying tickets for the Manchester date. Got to see this new album performed live!
In other news, I am back in Norkie-land again until Sunday night. Then it's back to Manchester for Freshers week. I love pretending to be a fresher, haha. Stil today has felt weird. Kinda been at a loose end. I feel like I'm just counting down the last few days till the beginning of term now. Just dunno what to do with myself. In fact I'm writing this now cos I didn't know what else to do, hah.
I was watching Doctor Who on BBC3 earlier (while eating dinner). They're showing reruns of series 3 already. It's great though. Gonna make sure I catch 'em all this week. I got quite a few random action fic ideas while watching it. Mostly crossing bandfic over with different series. This is probably cos of the recent fic I've been reading crossed with Supernatural, which is currently one of my faves, heh. So yeah, I'll be thinking on it.
Though for now I think I shall try and carry on writing chapter 18 of Never Forget. I've written just over 1,000 words so far. It's tough cos I'm not absolutely sure where I'm going with it. Oh well, I can but try, lol.
