B. Language arts--his specialty is parody. In addition, he finds sex ed hilarious.

D. It's one of his impromptu--Alan never seems to visit New York deliberately; it's always an afterthought or a whim--excursions to the city. He drives down in a rented Camry, because he is an ass. They go dancing, though neither of them thinks of it in those terms, and have a few more drinks than prudence would allow. There ensues a spirited (pun intended) debate about Alan's choice of vehicle that somehow--somehow--culminates in their having sex in said vehicle.

• While not exactly hyperactive, he's industrious and hates being idle. He can (and often does) operate on very little sleep. (Of course, when he does crash, he crashes hard.)
• He plays point guard on a travel basketball team. He's not a starter, but he's pretty good when he's not taking desperate shots from half court.
