B. SCIENCE (sometimes the obvious answer is the correct one). She's constantly complaining about the state of the lab equipment at her (prestigious, private) school, so Pierce is constantly calling them up and haranguing whoever will listen. The fact that he has no idea what he's talking about does not deter him in the slightest. As usual.

D. SCIENCE. I wouldn't put it past Pierce to just present Topher with a sperm sample (NOT LIKE THAT) and say, "What can you do with this?" (I had a whole crazy Dollhouse explanation cooked up, but it wouldn't have accounted for the physical resemblance. Or her being female. Or a child.)
E.

• When asked what her parents do for a living, she says they're both inventors. This drives Topher insane.
• Her computer password is "stringofrandomnumbers." It's not as secure as it could be, but Topher doesn't hassle her about it because it's funny (well, and because she'd be livid if she knew he was digging around in her computer).
• She's moderately popular at school and has a close circle of friends who come over once a week or so. Pierce, for no discernible reason, refers to them as her study group.
• Bonus: Will not let Topher administer an IQ test to her. When he tries to argue this, she points out that he'd be biased anyway. At first he takes this as an insult to his abilities as a scientist, but then it dawns on him that it might be a compliment to his fathering abilities, such as they are.
  
  And by that time he's completely forgotten about the IQ test.
