Lets not forget how this age old holiday began, You see children back in the early 1700's sweedish sailors used to travel across the lands in thier mighty hovercrafts. They ruled the oceans like a kingcrab rules over all the other crabs. Then one day a bunch of sweedish people decided "Hey i dont like our government that much" and he was promptly executed.
This caused a stir, a public outcry, a bagal shop opening. and thus caused a group of angered sweeds to create the Jamska group, Jamska named after a sweedish whalefish thingy, and thus being a simple of european power (...sweeden is in europe right?). Either way in a spectacular immitation of the boston tea party a group of sweedes dressed up like americans dressed up like indians swam up and jumped a hovercraft and successfully jacked a large amount of food to make a Smorgasbord and leave thier life like true Svenskas.
So now you know, and remember its tradtion to smack someone with a fish (either raw or sweedish) if they fail to where black socks on this day (black being the sweedish color of Glory)
