The Best Birthday Ever
In spite of a difficult start, this was the best birthday I've ever had, all thanks to my friends and family!
The morning started alright - my mom gave me one of my presents when I woke up, and said I had to wait until the evening to open the others (I may or may not list some of the things I got later). But it went a bit downhill after I got up. In the code some of my friends and I use, next week is "the new moon" (the creepy part is that this month it actually *is* the new moon, LOL) when I'm no longer a hanyou but a human (think Inuyasha on the night of the new moon and what it's somewhat similar to:p), so this week is a bit of an "emotional rollercoaster", as my mom calls it. So there was some crying for unknown reasons and things like that. I was also feeling a bit depressed because usually people forget about my birthday.:( But things got better once Steph F got here.:)
My nana took my brother and his girlfriend Trish, my mom, Steph, and myself out to dinner at Kelsey's (where our waiter wished me a happy birthday and advised me to stay away from boys over 19, LOL), but before that I got to open all my presents. Then we came home and had ice cream cake (and my brother says I'm a player, because I didn't blow out all 17 candles - apparently I'm going to have 3 boyfriends, LOL). Before I had finished mine, the doorbell rang. My mom went to answer it, then told me it was for me. Almost all my friends were there! They started singing "Happy Birthday", and had brought food and presents and even punch! Apparently they all decided to throw me a surprise party! Crystal, Marley, Jungyoon, Jen, Jess F, and Jess K were all here, and of course Steph F was still here. I think it was Crystal who organized it - she's the one who apparently called my mom last night, and she'd also called me to get Jen's phone number (though of course, I didn't suspect anything!). I've never had a surprise party in all my life, but I always wanted one! I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends! They said they couldn't get ahold of Steph B, so she wasn't here. We watched 50 1'st Dates, and I cried, LOL.
They are just so sweet! ANY OF YOU WHO ARE READING THIS - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!! And to think I had expected my birthday to go almost completely unnoticed! Steph B and Erica had even left messages for me this morning wishing me a happy birthday, and then Lindi and Erica called me again this afternoon. This has just been the best birthday EVER and I hope I never ever forget it! They're all so sweet, it's making me feel like crying! (Although that could also be because the "new moon" is approaching, LOL.) And even my brother was involved in the surprise party! He said earlier that he had to be back home by 7:30 - that's when everyone was coming over! *glomps everyone*
