Reconnecting
I got together with one of my old friends from elementary school today, and I had the BEST TIME!
I hadn't seen Tyler since the summer before we started high school - about ten years ago! - and I was feeling terribly nervous when I set out to meet him at Timmy's this morning. He met me there around noon, and we immediately got to talking about all sorts of things, beginning with what we've been up to since we last saw each other, and eventually moving on to things like the new Star Trek movie and the old series, the Matrix and mankind's inability to accept a perfect world, the old LotR debate of whether balrogs have wings or not, whether Batman or the Terminator should be the next president of the US (and that the presidential debate should be replaced with hand-to-hand combat, leaving the survivor to assume the presidency)... it was AWESOME, and we ended up chatting for over SIX HOURS!
I can't wait to get together with him again! :D
EDIT: We're meeting up again at Masonville Mall next Tuesday (the 20th)! :D
