Apparently the e-mail account that Sarah Palin, the Republican VP candidate, used for Governor business was hacked into. She used Yahoo! mail. And apparently several e-mails were "stolen".
Several questions leap to the forefront of my mind.
1. Why on earth would you use Yahoo! mail (GovLipstickBulldog@yahoo.com just screams "I'm qualified to lead this country once McCain bites the dust") for anything remotely professional? Doesn't the state, like, provide official e-mail addresses? Or did she EBay that, too?
2. Speaking of which, ten bucks says that she used the same password for at least five accounts, including EBay. And we're going to see some more jets up on her account. Or possibly iPhones for half the price and only accepting money orders (I know that's not a question, and I don't care).
3. "Stolen"? How do you "steal" an e-mail? Did she check the Junk folder? 'Cause, y'know, y!mail's spam filters aren't very accurate. Unless she means they were deleted. In which case this question becomes, why would she keep sensitive and/or important information in an account anywhere without backing it up to harddisk (hell, even printing it out)?
4. And was it really hacked? Or did she just pick up a password-stealing trojan by googling "teenage pregnancy" on behalf of Juno Palin and accidentally hitting up a porn site?
But moreover, I'm disappointed as a woman. Sarah Palin as Vice President of the United States would have made such huge strides for the feminist cause. She would have helped usher in a new era, in which women could wear miniskirts and five-inch heels to work yet slap a lawsuit on any guy who looked at their legs. A glorious time where a woman would get a job just because she has boobs, not because of any sort of qualifications on her part-- as it should be, because "resumé" is just another word for "sexism", after all. And where we could take offense at any sort of comment even slightly related to cosmetics, motherhood, or being a woman! Sisters, Sarah Palin represents an America where women aren't treated equally and receive the same rights, pay grade, and opportunities that men get-- but an America where womyn are worshipped with burnt offerings on lingere bonfires by sniveling pig-dog men as the incarnations of the Goddess that we truly are!
And now that's all out the window since she's proven without a doubt that the Republican party knows nothing whatsoever about the internets.
Damn.
