Lohendrin decided to tag me for a music post so here goes! I'm only giving links because there's a good chance this entry will be massive and it'll just suck if it's all video. Some will have explanations and some won't because they don't need them! Anyway, here goes!
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Feel it Now I love this song, have for years. And it is very fitting as far as Alaia is concerned. This is pretty much how she feels all of the time. Until recently anyway, but there are far too frequent flashes of this still. Lonely girl is lonely.
Blue October - Amazing This sums up Alaia's relationship with her husband from the moment she was told he was dead until... well, until now. There's no relationship anymore but it still fits because she's realized she's probably made him into something more than he ever was. This song fit him very well too, when he finally remembered who she had been to him.
Sia - My Love Memories are painful, yo. That's all I can say about this one.
Plumb - Cut If you ever wondered how it makes any sense for sweet, shy, awkward Alaia to be out doing the dangerous things she does this song pretty much sums it up.
Gaelic Storm - Heart of the Ocean Alaia wasn't part of a pirate crew just because they asked her to cook. She was never at home anywhere the way she is when she's on the water and she never strays far from it for long. Only on the ocean & when she's searching for artifacts does her shyness and uncertainty melt away. It's also not uncommon for her to work her way from port to port, just so she can be out there again. This song is as much her every day as Feel it Now is.
Over the Rhine - Born On a good day she's this kind of optimistic.
Johnny Cash - Hurt I had to. But seriously, this was her when she was undead and for a while after when she realized that being alive hadn't actually made things better.
Sarah Polley - Courage Because she never was that brave. Until it didn't matter. Opportunities seen and not taken because she was too afraid until it was too late.
Five Finger Death Punch - Far From Home Can't stand these guys but this song is fitting for the girl who thinks she's cursed.
Slipknot - Dead Memories Yeah... she really has been through some crap. This memory, as of yet, is locked away with so many others.
Lolly Jane Blue - Worms Worms, sanity, it's all good. Really.
