-Town water people < responsible. They bleed the hydrants this week without posting notices in public places or letters, but more than that, they did over the course of 2 days in my area and thus...yeah. We're getting kind of thirsty, you know. I plan on making some calls soon to see what can be done about this in the future.
-Speaking of water things--either my mum or my landlord screwed us over with the water bill. According the records in the office, in the course of 1 month, we used $74 worth. Now in the normal course of things, we usually only use $20, give or take, in a month. And my mum supposedly paid $20 over each month to cover the water. Granted we did use a bit more than usual in February (the month of $74 worth) because we were washing all the clothes for bug reasons, but $44 more? I should have fought it, but I didn't feel up to it, especially since we're a new account technically and going back would involve a lot of calling to my mum and arguing with the landlords and my mum yelling at me and etc. etc. This actually came up because I knew I should have had the credit on my account to pay for the water bill this month, but not. I got a bill saying I owed $18 and change. I paid it up, but argh. Definitely going to keep an eye on shit in the future though because if this happened once, it could happen again.
-Yahoo mail is not owning up to their problems. It hasn't affected my fandom email, but the one I use for offline things is not sending all messages or receiving some. It has also defaulted to showing me the most recent emails first which I don't like. When I sent a help ticket to the company, they said my email was working fine and I should be more patient or try sending messages again and that I was weird (implied, not outright said) for not wanting to see my most recent emails first. Le sigh.
-Heat wave. I'd like to know when we're supposed to hit this cooler summer because this recent trend is that this summer is going to be hotter. It's only halfway through May and I swear it should not be hitting mid 70s yet.
Good things!
-Got my comics in from FCBD finally. Because I placed the order so early, I got 3 free comics and luckily, everyone is happy with their free comic in my house (I share my freebies as usual with my sisters). And one of the comics I paid for--Deadpool---comes with a free digital copy!
-Went to the big shopping place for errand running and things. We started with brunch at home--omelets and a fruit salad and coffee cake (nom). Once we got to the shopping place, we started with Build a Bear as middle sister had some coupons so she could put clothes on her bear (the one she got when visiting my grandma). She shared one with me so I could get a military helmet for bear-Steve (he looks adorable. Will share pics later). The coupon made it a free purchase, yay! We stopped at Hot Topic where I got a Pepper statue-toy and a button for half off--"You know my methods, Watson". And we made a stop at Lane Bryant so I could use my gift card from them--clearance was half off the sale/clearance price and so I got a shirt for free as it was $12. Best friend needed to get bras (which she found on sale) so she put her stuff on my order to get a bigger discount for her bras.
-Nothing too good, but we are right now in the middle of a Marvel marathon in an effort to catch Rocky Horror Show references. I found 2 in Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 and we watched Captain America last night, but that one was obvious (I'm making a man, blond haired and tan.) I think we've found the one for Iron Man, but we're listening and watching very carefully.
