I'm sorry you feel that way. CA has always been a place I've felt at home, somewhere I wanted to live. The rent I have set up is almost exactly the same as what I am paying for here in NY. I enjoy learning other languages, and yes, I agree, if you move to the US..speak our language. NY is just as liberal as CA...they might as well be the same state on that issue.
CA has always had good memories for me, as well as good friends. Some of my favorites are the times I spent with you. Which college is it???? Are we going north or south on I-5? Discovering furry Christian friends, and just being able to hang out with people who were REAL. Do you remember our Grecian (?) food experience? S*** on a stick, and the amount of laughter it brought on?
And true, my old friends may not still be in CA by time I get there, but I have high hopes for what lies ahead. With the way things unfolded to get out there....it is God's hand leading me there. Who knows if I'll stay in CA forever. Only God can answer that question.
I won't agrue with you, you've lived there way longer than I have. And mebbe it will be bad. But I'm willing to take the chance and make the best of it. I choose to be happy wherever I am.

But thank you so much for the words of warning. I am thrilled you even read my post. I miss chatting with you. God bless and good luck in your move as well!
