Fecking scammers

I just got a call from a guy who claimed he was calling because "there are errors on you computer." When I asked which computer he told me "your computer running the operating system Windows." ORLY?

So I decided we'd chat for a while.

He told me that he noticed my case in the database and that there are errors which I am unable to see that he receives in the database but "no worries, ma'am, I can help you fix the unknown errors." It was clearly a scam from the beginning. I asked him which OS I was running and he just kept repeating "The operating system of Windows." When I asked him how he got my phone number he said, "When the errors pop up inside of your computer I receive a notification and your phone number so I can call you to help."

Me: How did you get my phone number?
Scammer:When the unknown errors pop up inside of your computer it sends packets of information to our database including your phone number which allows me to call you to help. Even if YOU don't see these errors we can.
Me: My phone number is not just going to appear in your database because I have errors on my computer.
Scammer:All of your informations are on your computer in the packets which were sent to the database.
Me:My cell phone number is not stored in my computer.
Scammer: Ma'am, I assure you that your phone number is stored in the packets which are sent to the database. It is for your safety and protection that we do this to help you.
Me: Ohh okay so I am not sure which computer has a problem so can you tell me which operating system the error occurred on?
Scammer: Ma'am it was on the operating system of Windows.
Me:There are a lot of different versions of Windows. Which one?
Scammer: I cannot tell for sure which version but only that it is the operating system of Windows.
Me: OIC. So your database can detect my personal cell phone number and that my computer has errors but it cannot determine my operation system?
Scammer: Yes, ma'am. If you could just log onto your computer I can help you with those errors.
Me: Will do! Straight away...I am so glad you called. You must feel really proud of the work you do helping people all day. Not everyone can say they go to work every day to help people.
Scammer: (he laughs) Yes, ma'am. I am loving helping people.
Me: You called just in time. As it turns out I was just sitting here waiting for a man to ride in on a white horse and fix my computer because I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM DOING. I am logging in now (not really but whatever). It's really important that my computer is running properly because I work from home on it and if something were to happen to my computer I would be out of a job and we could lose everything (again not really).
Scammer: I am so glad that I can be of help. I am helping you because you're a genuine customer of a company. (<---lol what?)

Then he tells me to go to open several files on my computer which I pretend to do. Then he tells me to go to a website which would allow him remote access to my computer!! So I pretend I am going there and pretend I am signing up when...

Me: Oh my goodness...ugh sorry my computer is freezing up. It does this all the time. It should only take a minute or two. It's a good thing you called so we can get that fixed.

we chit chat. and a few minutes later I tell him I am going to have to restart. Whoopsie. The restart takes 10 minutes because WOW my computer is so slow. MUST BE ALL THOSE UNKNOWN ERRORS. :D

Then I get bored with the whole thing and tell him I am onto him and eventually hang up.

When I called the "main office" and asked for a supervisor he told me "Most of the computers in your neighborhood are infected and we are just trying to help you out." lol

I hate knowing that these people are victimizing people. I wish there was something that could be done other than wasting my time fucking with them. I did send Microsoft a little note letting them know this "company" was claiming to work with Microsoft in order to gain trust to scam people.

Anyway avoid Pchelpstation.com ad anyone who calls you asking for remote access to your computer through ammyy.com or any other service. If you didn't ask them for help don't allow them to "help" you.
