LAY OFF THE VODKA!!! If you're going in for an allnighter, stick to beer. NIN, Vodka and a night in alone are not a terribly uplifting combination really are they? OK, ok, yes, its a good mix, but thats not the point.

I've got a bet going with myself that I can stay on the wagon for January (not counting anything I may drink after Midnight on New Years Eve, but starting as soon as I get up on the 1st). 1 month sober a year is good for the soul as well as the body. I challenge you to join me (its bl**dy hard work I tell you, especially with the "Company Ski Weekend" in the middle of Jan...).

Now I may have lost touch with my music a little (parenthood, no time, must censor stuff like NIN in presence of primary school kids) but I remember enough to tell that that is (mostly) a list of all their quiet maudlin ones.

Go do something enthusiastic and do another list and I'll bet it comes out totally different.
