Feeling vulnerable
Like dry trembling leaves
Clinging for dear life
To the Autumn branches
Of trees in the season of dusk
Gathering their winter hides
Shedding their summery warmth
Which will soon make hoarfrost mornings
Awakened senses in this season change;
Eyes that see the clear blue of sky
Ears that hear the whispers of wind
Lips that taste the fruits of harvest
And you: my life's new muse
A colourful sunset of surprises
Bursting wisps of crimson swirling
In the expanse of a swelling desire
The sailors delight in this vision
That promises days of success
Moments to cling to and many many
Many full moons
