yay first day of classes, and so I decided to make an lj post about it due to peer pressure. hurray!
I had two classes yesterday:
ELEC 2501 is unfortunately just a ton of physics as relates to electric circuits. It's not that any of it is ridiculously hard, but the syllabus has way too many topics in it. I worry that we'll be learning too much stuff too fast and it'll all get mixed together in a big circuit-salad in my brain. But I finally met someone in this class who's in the same program as me! And he was like "I thought I was the only one in comm-eng!" and we had a big emotional moment.
second class was SYSC2001 which is about computer technology. The professor said he's not only never taught the course before, he's apparently never taught a 2nd-year course before. ever. Which is bad. Either he's only taught 1st-year classes, in which case he may not pace properly or whatnot, or else he's only ever taught upper year courses and he might make the course far too difficult. mucho scary.
