So long time, no post again. Here's an update about the past month or so if anyone is interested. Having no internet for almost three weeks was nearly unbearable, so I apologize if I haven't seemed very active lately. D:
> Wonder Girls and 2PM Concert : I went and saw them on June 5th in Atlanta at the Tabernacle with my sister. Woah long time ago, I know. I had a VIP ticket so I got to get a picture with the two groups and a mini poster gift. The concert was tons of fun and getting to stand that close to them for the picture was amazing. I sound like a creeper. The WG were so gorgeous though. AND SKINNY. I felt like a freaking whale beside them. D; And 2PM, well, they were of course incredibly attractive. XD Nichkhun touched me and I about died. *such a kpop fangirl* Once the concert was over, my sister and I went to the 18+ after party place where I proceeded to pass the ID check despite my driver's liscense clearly saying that I was under 18 under Sept. 14, 2010. I got those giant Xs on my hands too, haha. We ended up leaving early though because the line was taking ages. It was a great night though. Pic spam time.
> Girls' State : Sucked. But I've already ranted about this a million times. See previous entry.
> Seishuncon : The con itself wasn't that great, but I got to hang out with some lovely people like
koneko ,
samu_chan ,
yashuntafun ,
gwiffen ,
burloire , and more. I wore my Kuniko from Shangri-La costume that whipped together in about two days. My boomerang prop was made in my sister's appartment Saturday morning. /procrastinationftw
> Washington, DC : My oldest sister recently moved up to DC for work with her boyfriend, so the 'rents and I went up to visit them. They have a nice little (and I mean little) place only about a 10-15 min walk from the Capital and Mall area. The last time I went to DC I was super young and don't remember anything, so we did your typical tourist-y monuments, buildings, and museums. I also visited my cousin who lives up there. I went to see The Last Airbender too, but let's not talk about that because it makes me want to cry...
Went to the 4th of July concert there too. I didn't really know any of the artists, but it was enjoyable.
> New York City : This was my second time visiting NY. Back in 2006, I went to see J.K. Rowling and other great authors at a book reading. Nothing can ever top seeing Jo and a live LeakyMug with tons of other HP fans. *sign I miss the HP fandom days* Anyways, did more tourist-y things. Walked the Brooklyn bridge, shopped like crazy, toured NYU (if only I could afford it/get accepted lulz), saw two plays on broadway (Memphis and West Side Story), and more.
There was also this super amazing store near our hotel that sold Japanese cds/dvds/manga/anime. I had to buy some things there of course
P3: Official Design Works, July issue of KERA, CCS artbook, manga: DOGS, Kannagi, Air Gear, Index, CDs: KAT-TUN, Yui, UVERworld
In other news, I ran into the basketball goal in my own driveway yesterday with the semi-new car I got from my sister. Feel free to laugh. I feel like an idiot. At least I'm not the first one in my family to do it. I'm actually the forth. My little mishap led to my dad finally taking down the goal though. Success.
I got my IB exam scores a while ago too. 4 in Math. 5 in French. 3 is passing, so I'm happy. Now to go watch some anime.
