different job
So I'm not working with the IBEW like I thought I was going to be. I am working for Alliance Energy, another electrical contracting company. The work I'm doing isn't electrical tho. Apparently they want to send pre-employment grads to this job they are doing at Hitachi before they send them on an electrical job.. I think it's cause there aren't a lot of electrical projects going on right now, and this way they can get people working. We are building windmill towers for Vestas. The guys at Hitachi fabricate the towers and paint them, then we assemble the insides (platforms, ladders, lights, receptacles, etc) then they have to be cleaned spotless and the paint touched up before they can be shipped. I've been mostly cleaning and painting. I got to help finish a tower today tho. I actually got to do some wiring today!! yay!!
The hours don't count toward my journeyman tho... which kinda sux, but is ok because I am working...
Crissy took Ariel to the park today. They were already there when I got home from work. Ariel was crawling around in the sand. She was soo cute. Crissy told me that Ariel was kinda courious about the sand and licked it. mmmm sand!! After the park, we went to the baby store close to our place and spent $90 on summer clothes. Ariel should be set now. She was growing out of all her clothes.
