reno, reno, RENO?
oy! what's up with me and reno lately, yo? lookit me. using his catchphrase. hm. so maybe it's not his. anyone can use it without knowing who in the blazes reno is.
but i digress.
listen, listen. i've been having a craving for GOOD reno-centric fics lately, and that led me to one on fanfiction.net titled "My Happily Ever After". alright, yes. it includes mpreg and out of the blue sex, but it makes sense! i was shocked to discover that! the author was able to incorporate MIDGAR and MAKO and SHINRA and ACTUAL FINAL FANTASY-NESS, all while adding a twisted up love story filled with soap-opera flashbacks. i admit that i read stories like that. heck, i happen to write them. and at least the characters are IC a majority of the time. it does rather grind my gears when she makes cloud say "baby", and reno say "kitten". the use of aibou in a certain part was uncalled for. the occasional typo and the occasional tifa-bash (alright, maybe A LOT of tifa-bash)...but i've grown to ease myself about those...at least i try to.
i've discovered that i can learn quite a bit of information about the final fantasy series through this. hm. no. i've never played the final fantasy games. not one. but i'm considering picking up the new one due to come out, oh, let's say within the next 12 years?
square enix happens to have a gift at pissing off the public.
