KHR party report
Ok so just yesterday a group of us from NDK got together in Denver and cosplayed casual KHR. Of the group we had a Bel, two Gokuderas, two Hibaris, a Lal Mirch, an Adult Lambo (me), and um well, a casual Soul and Maka from Soul Eater as well as Kanda from D.Gray-Man..... Anyway, we all met up downtown, had lunch at a Tokyo Joe's (good soup! ^x^), and then headed over to Elitch's for fright fest. We spent all day there until it closed and had some interesting experiences. One of the epic moments of the day was our Bel spraying one of our Gokuderas' hair with dye to make it silver, in front of Elitch's. Needless to say we used the whole can and turned some things silver aside from Gokkun's hair... Speaking of hair, me and the other Gokudera were having interesting experiences riding the roller-coasters with our wigs. That was something I don't plan on doing often....
At one point we got the whole family on the viking ship ride and split up into two teams (one on each side of the boat). When the one side went up in the air that side's team would yell "VROI!" as loud as they could. Of course my side was the victor, GO TEAM #2! One of us actually recorded the whole thing with her camera, so YouTube is a must go to now. There were also plenty of other moments throughout the night that were caught on tape as well. Feeding funnel-cake to a hiding Lambo (thanks Kanda!), riding the carousel and different members of the family flying were among some of the videos I plan on stealing from my friend.
What really got me bummed though was being ignored alot of the time. I mean I know I'm Lambo, but I was kinda hurt. I think it has something to do with the fact that I live farther away from everyone else and so I really don't seem to connect with alot of them.... To them this was just some little weekend excursion that wasn't anything too special since they could probably do it whenever they want. Since I live further away this was something I really cherish, but it's kind of a let down when you have trouble fitting in with the others. Although when I did get any attention it always seemed to be in the form of teasing. There were some harsh jokes sometimes too (not just from the family but other random people at the park as well), I wanna cry..... TTATT
I love the whole family and I love hanging out with them but, I'm just no good in big groups like that.... Now I'm worried what to do when we all get together again! If I'm just hanging out with a couple of them I'm fine but, when we get so many together at once I just kind of, drift around lost..... Gaaaahhhh!!!! I hate this, I don't know what the heck to do! *whimper* Lambo is totally bummed.....
