Yesterday Ryan and I adopted two lovable kittens from the Lakeshore Humane Society named Silvie and Buffy. Buffy's a beautiful Siamese mix with blue eyes and Silvie's an adorable Domestic Short Hair who is a dark grey with very bold black stripes and a few hints of what seems to be a dark orange or brown-ish color. They're both girls and I'll definitely get pictures once they're more comfortable with their new surroundings.
Sam, the cat we adopted from Ryan's mom, isn't too thrilled about the adoptions. He hisses at them if they get too close, but they all keep their space and we watch them closely to make sure nothing happens. Sam's nine years old and 17 pounds where Silvie and Buffy are both about 9 months old and probably barely a pound each. The two girls are -very- playful and friendly, though Silvie gets a little skittish when Sam's around - he mostly just stays in the bedroom on his own and pouts though. :P
We're going to go get some things for the girls in a bit. We just found out that they love to climb and look out the windows, and unfortunately having a small apartment, we don't have many things they can climb on and we have no windowsills - so we're going to get one of those cat house, tower, things. Not sure what they're actually called, but I'm sure whoever is reading this knows what I mean. We're also going to get a few toys as they've already lost one of the mice toys we got (though we think Sam might have hid it, Ryan said he did things like that before when his mom got her other cats before Sam came here).
Anyhoo, life's getting busy with the new babies in the house. We also got our tree all set up and everything, so we're pretty much set for Christmas other than still needing to go shopping.
And, knowing myself, it might be a while until I post again so I’ll say:
Happy Holidays, Everyone!! :D
