Apotheosis: Additional Info
I wanted to share some of the background stuff for the story, as part of my Christmas gift to you all. :) This isn't the extent of my notes, by any stretch (I've got about 3 chapters worth of notes alone, haha!), but it's a peek inside the creative process, and some information about the story that people have been asking for.
Size
For those who didn't know, KT has given out info about the characters' sizes and weights.
Abarai Renji: 188cm / 78kg (6.17ft, 172lbs)
Kurosaki Ichigo (15): 174cm / 61kg (5.7ft, 134.5lbs)
Dude is tiny! But Ichigo doesn't stay the size of a 15 year old boy forever. He's grown up now. I looked at his parents' stats, and I ran some numbers. And of course, I also compared him to Renji. I wanted them to be more or less the same size, though still with their own unique shapes. Renji is leaner and long-limbed, where Ichigo has more average proportions.
In this setting, Ichigo has grown to be 183cm and weighs 75kg. That translates to 6 feet tall, weighing 165lbs. So they're very close, but still different and unique.
Age
I put Ichigo at 16.5 when the war starts. I gave him his birthday in July before the summer break starts in Japan (late July) during the SS arc, started the war several months after that, and let it stretch out a few months. Since we don't know how it's really going to happen yet, that'll have to do for now.
So, since Nexus is approximately 3 years after the war, plus a few months…
War - 16.5
1 year later - 17.5
2 years later - 18.5
3 years later - 19.5
Ichigo turns 20 during Nexus (sorry we didn't see it, I had more important things to write - like the smut!). He turns 21 a year later, during Apotheosis.

This is even more pathetic than my map of Ichigo's flat in Nexus, but this isn't supposed to be an architectural blueprint, just a general idea of where things are. You can use your imagination to fill in the random shelves and knicknacks for now, until I flesh it out more in the next story.
